Anthropic donates the Agent Skills standard to the Linux Foundation's Agentic AI Foundation

Anthropic is handing governance of Agent Skills, the open format for packaging specialized knowledge and workflows for AI agents, to the Agentic AI Foundation under the Linux Foundation, along with the name, logo, GitHub organization and agentskills.io domain. Engineers from Anthropic, Google, OpenAI and other companies will maintain it as individuals, with David Soria Parra and Mahesh Murag as lead maintainers. The proposed roadmap adds versioned releases, a formal proposal process and security guidance. More than 70 agent platforms have adopted the format since its December 2025 publication, so the move shifts a de facto cross-vendor standard to neutral governance.

NVIDIA launches Minerva, an AIOps platform for AI factories

Minerva combines telemetry from GPUs, networking and AI workloads into a knowledge graph, then uses machine learning to detect anomalies, predict failures and group related alerts into one incident with a likely root cause, with a natural-language assistant on top. IREN already uses it; Aolani, Bitdeer AI, IBM, Jio, Lambda, Quake AI and Tesla plan to deploy it, and Dell, Lenovo and Supermicro will offer it in their AI factory portfolios. It moves NVIDIA further from selling chips toward operating the fleet.

Indian certificate authority eMudhra exits the global SSL/TLS business

eMudhra's board voted on 22 October to withdraw from public SSL/TLS certificates, a line it says is about 1% of revenue, citing data-sovereignty and compliance burden, falling returns as large players issue certificates free, and scrutiny after a recent incident. No exit date is given; its G1 RSA roots and revocation services keep running until issued certificates expire or are replaced, and affected customers will be moved to partners at no cost. Its digital-signature and identity products are unaffected.
